During a participation in the 2^nd Conference for professional journalism by the NIRIJ network for Iraqi investigative journalism, the faculty member in Al-Iraqia University, Dr. Bushra Hussein Al-Hamdani reviewed aspects of the professional, legal and financial challenges facing the work of journalists, problems related to union and organizational work and problems in journalistic work laws those related to freedom of publication in Iraq, the reality of women journalists and media field workers. The conference, in which a number of 100 journalists and students participated, reviewed the reality of the Iraqi press, press coverage in light of crises, violence and threats facing journalists and press institutions, as well as holding workshops on some arts of journalistic work to develop the capabilities of Iraqi journalists and educate them on the basis of professional journalistic work and provide them with modern techniques in journalistic writing.
