During a visit to Russia and meeting a number of Iraqi students, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewed the importance of exerting utmost efforts by Iraqi scholars at the Russian universities in order to achieve scientific excellence and obtain the highest scientific scores from sober Russian universities. His Excellency added that the Ministry is keen on overcoming all the difficulties facing Iraqi students in Russia and increasing the number of Russian scholarships and fellowships granted by Russian universities to Iraq. Dr. Al-Suhail said that the Iraqi students in Russian universities should reflect a bright image of Iraq in the Russian academic society, achieve scientific excellence and choose specializations that meet the real needs of Iraq and requirements of the Iraqi labor market in order to achieve national and economic development in the country in light of the exerted efforts of scientific and academic minds who will assume those tasks after their completing their academic mission in the future. It is worth mentioning that the visit was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Haider Mansour Hadi and the Cultural Attaché to the Embassy, Dr. Habib Mutashar Abboud.
