College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Al-Qadisiyah delivered an online lecture on using the insect cells as a host for producing of molecular proteins to produce viral vaccines in animals, the Faculty Member in the University of Animal & Fishery Sciences, Konkata – India, Dr. Hemanta Kumar Maiti said. Dr. Maiti added that the online lecture reviewed the importance of molecular vaccines to prevent the viral diseases in farm animals and urge researchers to develop this field. Dr. Maiti continued by saying that the online lecture concluded that using insect cells as a host to produce viral-like proteins is one of the best ways to obtain mixture proteins to be used in molecular vaccine experiments if compared to other hosts such as bacteria, as well as the possibility of producing a mixture of proteins.
