Dr. Al-Aboudi Chairs Meeting of Advisory Board, His Excellency Reviews Modernization of curricula & Universities’ Readiness On Implementing New Transformation in Environment of Educational System

During chairing a meeting of the Advisory Baord, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed that the meeting was formed under Article (6) of the Law of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which includes a group of academic expertise working inside and outside Iraq.

Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted the indicators of updating curricula in Iraqi universities according to the aspect of specialized knowledge variables and in light of the requirements of the labor market and the requirements of the institutions’ need for specific fields of academic programs that have an impact responsible for the development of public and private institutions and their contribution to respond to the goals of sustainable development.

His Excellency stressed on the importance of methodological keeping up in the environment of Iraqi universities for the purpose of achieving the required interaction in the fields of humanities and pure scientific disciplines and enabling students to explore the horizon of scientific development and read the course of education and learning in discreet international universities.

Dr. Al-Aboudi also reviewed the universities' readiness to implement the Bologna Process in engineering and science specialties in public and private universities and colleges in the upcoming academic year 2023/2024 and the related training programs for the faculty members that will undertake the implementation of the new transformation map in the university educational environment in Iraq.

His Excellency called on benefiting from the Iraqi advisory expertise present in the universities of the world and consolidating the climate of continuous cooperation that supports the direction of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in opening up to the world, admiring academic experiences and providing an environment for joint work with goals related to the quality of education, academic accreditation and twinning of scientific programs.

Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated that the Ministry and its universities were able to attract international students through the “Study in Iraq” initiative, which strengthened the foundations of the academic reputation of Iraqi university institutions and gave impetus to their presence and competition in global competition platforms.
