College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah discussed a master dissertation on the requirements for applying occupational health and safety management according to the standard specifications (ISO - 45001)by the postgraduate student, Mr. Alaa Abd Al-Amir Abbas.
The dissertation aimed at reviewing the application of the occupational health and safety management system in accordance with the international standard (ISO - 45001) at the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies.
The dissertation stressed that the developments and radical changes taking place in the internal and external work environment oblige organizations of all types and fields of work, including the maritime academies, to work on adopting and implementing professional and efficient health and safety systems that are in line with international standards
