Dr. Al-Aboudi Receives Official Invitation to Visit Republic of Hungary, His Excellency Confirms Progress of Academic Cooperation & Global Partnerships

During a meeting with Ambassador of the Hungarian Republic to Baghdad, Mr. Attila Tarr and having an official invitation from the Republic of Hungary to visit the capital, Budapest, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed developing scientific and academic cooperation relations.


Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated joint cooperation programs between educational institutions in the two countries.


His Excellency stressed his keenness on developing bridges of cooperation with Hungarian Higher Education’s institutions, benefiting from their experiences, establishing contexts of understanding between Iraqi and Hungarian universities, and exchanging scholarships.


Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the Study in Iraq initiative, which is managed and supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aims at attracting international students in Iraqi universities have provided a positive climate for scientific and cultural exchange between Iraq and the countries of the region and the world.

His Excellency highlighted the Ministry’s readiness on receiving requests to establish reputable foreign universities to open branches in Iraq with the aim of developing and strengthening global partnerships.

For his part, Mr. Tarr, expressed his country's readiness on strengthening scientific and educational partnerships, framing twinning programs between Iraqi and Hungarian universities, exchanging experiences in the scientific and technical fields and praising the vision and decisions of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi to move towards the internationalization of Higher Education and interaction with international experiences.
