The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research received an official confirmation from the Presidency of European Higher Education Area (EHEA) through the UNESCO office in Baghdad regarding the invitation of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi to participate and attend the work of the Conference of Higher Education Ministers of the Bologna Process, which will be held in May 2024 in the Albanian capital, Tirana.

Higher Education reviewed that His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi had decided on the 12^th of December 2022 to adopt the (Bologna Process) system in technical universities, starting from the current academic year 2022/2023 and that the Colleges of Engineering and Sciences in all Iraqi Universities will start implementing the Bologna Process for the next academic year 2023/2024, while UNESCO described the decision as an important factor in rebuilding and enhancing the quality of Higher Education in Iraq.

For their part, the authorized in European Higher Education Area in the European Union EHEA confirmed in their message that the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will also participate in the global policy forum for the European Higher Education Area with a large number of international partners from inside and outside the European Union, which will be held on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference of the Bologna Process countries.
