College of Medicine, University of Al-Mustansiriyah delivered a lecture on bacteria and its role in preventing the asthma. The lecture, in which a number of faculty members and postgraduates participated, highlighted the role of early infecting by bacteria, especially LPS to inhibit immune cells from Th2 to Th1 to prevent the immune response of the first type of allergic reaction (asthma). The lecture reviewed that people who live in rural areas are the most vulnerable to bacteria and at the same time are less likely to have asthma than those who live in cities.
