A Master Thesis was discussed in the College of Engineering, University of Babylon on the effect of substrate soil in hardness of bending of the base.
The study reviewed the effect of the substrate stiffness, the reaction factor of the substrate and the changes corresponding to soil pressure under the basis of the results of the static analysis of the base model by the SAFE analysis software.
The study concluded that the extreme stiffness significantly affects the analysis more than the soil factor and the deformation surface of the base changes either upward or downward when the soil factor is increased or decreased respectively without any changing in the bending.
