Diyala University’s Master’s Dissertation: On Genetic Polymorphism of Racetin & Its Effect On Serum Levels In Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Diyala discussed a Ph.D. thesis on a comparative study of genetic polymorphisms of racetin and its effect on serum levels between diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Raya Ali Zaid.

 

The thesis  estimating the levels of immunoglobulins IgA and IgM in the serum of the study groups using the individual radioimmunodiffusion technique, as well as estimating the level of racetin in the serum of the study groups via using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique.


The thesis highlighted a significant increase in the level of fasting blood glucose in the two groups of patients with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes compared with the control group, as well as a significant increase in the level of immunoglobulins IgA and IgM in the group of patients with type 1 diabetes compared with the two groups of patients with type 2 diabetes and control.
