During a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Iraj Masjedi and the accompanying delegation, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed the academic and cultural cooperation between the two countries. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib also reviewed the importance of benefiting from the joint academic fields in Iraqi and Iranian universities and developing the horizons of exchanging experiences and scholarships. His Excellency also reviewed the importance of completing some of the approved projects between the two countries, especially the project to create a branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iraq to provide medical education and treatment services. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib said that the Iraqi legislation in force provided a supportive environment for the university education and stipulated scientific requirements for opening new branches of foreign universities, especially those that have a positive resonance in the relevant rankings.
