During a meeting with the Jordanian University of Zarqa, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Essa reviewed strengthening cooperation mechanisms in the applied and professional fields.

Dr. Al-Essa said that the Ministry is keen on enhancing the academic cooperation between the Iraqi universities and their Jordanian counterparts and benefiting the academic experiences of the university in building the academic and research capabilities, especially in the fields of research and professional studies.

His Excellency reviewed the importance of supporting the applied research, enhancing the openness policy between the Iraqi research institutions and their Jordanian counterparts and benefiting their experiences in developing the graduates’ skills to meet the needs of the labor markets.

Dr. Al-Essa added that the two sides also reviewed activating the fellowships programs between the two sides, also activating the joint research projects with the Jordanian universities and holding mutual scientific conferences.

For his part, president of the university, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaaira reviewed their university’s academic programs of the university and post graduate studies and He expressed the university’s readiness to facilitate admitting of Iraqi scholars and enhancing the academic cooperation frameworks.
