During a meeting with a group of international students studying in Iraqi universities within the Study in Iraq program, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi expressed his welcome to Arab and foreign students coming from various countries of the world.

Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that university education represents an important cultural bridge between countries.

His Excellency highlighted that the first version of the Study in Iraq program for 2023/2024 resulted in the admission of one thousand and fifteen students, while those registered in the version the second program for 2024/2025 has more than two thousand students so far from seventy countries around the world.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed the students aspects of the capabilities of Iraqi universities, their results achieved in international rankings, their long-standing academic reputation, and their qualified faculty members and researchers.

His Excellency reviewed the Ministry and its universities’ keeness on providing a quality educational environment for all students in order to enable them to achieve what they aspire to.

For their part, the international students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for providing various academic opportunities to enroll in Iraqi universities, as well as praising the scientific level on which these universities and their specialized colleges are based at the level of university and postgraduate studies.
