During inking agreement for scientific, cultural and research cooperation between institutions of higher education and scientific research in both countries between Republics of Iraq and France, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed that the bilateral cooperation agreement is part of the partnership agreement signed by the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and the President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, on January 27, 2023.

Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated establishing partnerships and cooperation between institutions of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the two countries in the fields of science, engineering, environment, archaeology, heritage, law and the French language, exchanging visits to academic institutions, participating in conferences, symposiums and joint research projects, exchanging scholarships and developing programs for doctoral grants and scientific residencies.

It is worth to be mentioned that the agreement was signed by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi and the representative of the French government, Mr. Eric Chevalier.
