Kufa University: On Amazon Fires & Climate-Biodiversity

College of Science, University of Kufa held a symposium on the impact of the Amazon forest fires on biodiversity and climate. The symposium reviewed the importance of the Amazon forests as the lungs of the earth because they produce 20% of the world's oxygen and absorb huge amounts of carbon dioxide. The symposium concluded that Amazon forest fires are dangerous for biodiversity because they include about three million organisms’ species.
