During a meeting with the European Union, College of Archeology, University of Kufa reviewed archaeological survey steps in the area of Al-Heera, south of Najaf, Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Fakhir Al-Deen said. Dr. Fakhir Al-Deen added that the European delegation toured a number of archaeological sites in Al-Heera area, accompanied by a number of faculty members and representatives of the Najaf Archaeology Inspection. Dr. Fakhir Al-Deen said that the city of Al-Hirah returned to the era of the Kingdom of Palmyra and began its prosperity period with the rule of Al-Manādhirah who constructed it and the oldest building of it belongs to the 3rd century AD.
