College of Education, University of Samarra discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the quantitative estimation of some B vitamins used as nutritional supplements in medical preparations by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Souad Abdul Moneim.
The thesis reviewed the development of color spectroscopic methods to estimate vitamins B individually, using methods of oxidation, conjugation, ionic aggregation, the method of forming complexes in their pure form and pharmaceutical preparations.
The thesis aimed at on developing spectroscopic methods for estimating water-soluble B vitamins using multiple estimation methods, namely peak-to-baseline height, peak-to-peak area and peak-to-peak that develop methods succeeded in quantitatively estimating these components.
The thesis demonstrated the development of six spectroscopic methods for the determination of (VitB1, VitB2, VitB3, VitB5, VitB6 and VitB12) in their pure components and pharmaceutical preparations.
