College of Education, Samarra University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the role of some physiological and immunological variables associated with stable and unstable angina pectoris in men by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ruqaya Khalil Ibrahim.

The thesis aimed at revealing the physiological and immunological variables of a sample of 70 individuals, distributed among (30) healthy men, (40) patients with stable angina pectoris (S.A) and (20) patients with unstable angina pectoris. (U.A) who did not undergo conservative treatment before admission to the central resuscitation unit.

The thesis confirmed the existence of a significant increase at the level of probability p≤ 0.01 in systolic and diastolic blood pressure in patients with stable and unstable angina compared with the control group, with no significant differences in the numbers of red blood cells (RBCs) and hemoglobin (Hb), as well as the numbers of blood platelets (PLT),  while a significant increase was found at the level of probability (p ≤ 0.01) for the numbers of white blood cells (WBCs) in patients with stable and unstable angina compared to the control group.
