College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Thi-Qar  discussed a master dissertation on the discovery of ADHD in children based on the EEG brain signal by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Aseel Tayeh Sawadi.

The dissertation reviewed designing of an effective model for the detection of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), integrating discrete wavelet transform (DWT), statistical features and the LS-SVM classifier for the detection of ADHD from EEG signals.

The dissertation aimed at developing an appropriate model for classifying children as ADHD or healthy, whereby an intelligence system that uses (SVM-LS) was proposed to classify ADHD diagnoses to obtain more accurate and reliable results.

The dissertation stressed on the importance of developing a new reliable model for the detection of ADHD using EEG signals from active channels and with different frequency bands.
