College of Education, University of Al-Mustansiriyah organized a symposium on scientific and industrial implementations of nanotechnology, The symposium, in which a number of faculty members and postgraduates participated, reviewed the concept and nanotechnology and its modern applications in various scientific and industrial fields. The symposium highlighted the impact of nanotechnology on the behavior of various materials and making materials behaving with high degrees of accuracy in their functions, sizes, shapes and components and their importance in controlling the functions of tools used in the fields of medicine, industry, engineering, agriculture, drugs, communications, defense and space. The symposium also reviewed the implementations of nanotechnology and its various uses in the applied fields, its mechanism of action which changes the properties and behaviors of the treated particles, its contribution to the emergence of new physical and chemical concepts and the most important experimental industrial methods used in the field of nanotechnology.
