Al-Qadisiyah University: On Hereditary Hypercholesterolemia

College of Medicine, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a symposium on hereditary hypercholesterolemia.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included addressing the risk of hereditary and acquired hypercholesterolemia on the heart and circulatory system, conducting early diagnosis and following-up the treatment of these diseases.

The symposium reviewed sources of blood cholesterol (fat), which is processed by liver, how atherosclerosis starts, how it lasts for life, the natural proportions of blood fat (cholesterol 200 mg / fat), low density lipoprotein (LDL) 40 mg / fat and triglycerides less than 150 mg / fat.
