College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah discussed a master dissertation on the structural behavior of unidirectional concrete ceilings filled with insulators with the presence of notched shear ties by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Rushd Raad Jawad. The dissertation aimed at studying the structural behavior of insulating concrete ceilings in a laboratory manner and focusing on the variables of the geometric form, such as the concrete ribs in the insulating layer. The dissertation demonstrated conducting test tests on models of insulating concrete ceilings, using a test device with a capacity of 400 Kilonewtons, which shows the thickness of the insulating layer, the amount of reinforcing steel for the bottom network, the type of shear grooves and the compressive strength of concrete. The dissertation also aimed at creating a three-dimensional model of the elements in the isolated concrete from the thickness of the insulating layer to the thickness of the concrete layer to know the compressive strength of concrete for the upper and lower layers and the dimensions of the reinforcing steel mesh for it.
