College of Agriculture, University of Basra organized a symposium on the effect of mitochondrial genes on milk production of livestock.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed mitochondrial DNA genes, especially those that are directly related to milk production via the sequences of the nitrogen basics and linking them with the quantity and quality of milk produced as well as the other productive qualities such as birth weights.
