College of Engineering, University of Basrah discussed a Ph.D. thesis a hydraulic study and modeling of different forms of a breakwater on the dispersal of wave energy by the postgraduate student, Mr. Hassan Ibrahim Hassan. The thesis aimed at conducting tests on fifteen different types of breakwater models and building these models into three distinct types, each with an angle of inclination. The thesis confirmed that these models were made with two types of non-graded designs with degrees (0, 3, 4, 5 and 6) and all types of breakers were digitally designed via using the method of specific sizes and differences determined by (11.2 FLOW 3D) program. The thesis highlighted conducting an experimental model of the shape of (Cor-Loc) above the breakwater in the Great Port of Faw in order to assess the risk of rising water level above the top of the breakwater and determine the ability of (Cor-Loc) to absorb the incoming rise of the wave and dissipate its energy.
