College of Engineering, University of Diyala organized a symposium on modern technology role in increasing crude oil production and increasing profits. The symposium reviewed the most advanced technologies used in drilling technology such as (hydraulic fracture, sand oil, horizontal drilling and the use of mapping technology). The symposium reviewed the impact of the mentioned technology types in increasing oil production and increasing profits, which reflected positively on the service and living conditions of the oil producing countries. The symposium highlighted drilling methods used to access to high viscosity crude oil and the technology used to extract it as well as types of drilling by maps and computers to reduce costs and win time.
