During the meeting and the joint press conference with the Governor of Saladin, Mr. Ammar Jabor Al-Jubouri on, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed supporting university projects in the governorate and empowering academic institutions to serve the community and contribute to comprehensive development. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib highlighted that the two sides stressed on the importance of completing the infrastructure in the universities and providing them with the requirements of the nature of their primary mission in providing educational and advisory services to the community and State’s institutions. His Excellency added that the university’s institutions and their research centers are able to provide the Governorate with the results of scientific researches, especially applied ones and create an effective environment in which specialists participate in solving problems and dilemmas that impede the movement of development. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib that the completion of university’s projects achieves and provides an important training incubator for the preparation and training of human staffs in the Governorate. His Excellency called on investing research results and employing them in fields and projects with appropriate service feasibility. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib demonstrated the importance of strengthening the relation with all State’s institutions basing on and interdependence with the goals of sustainable development. For his part, Mr. Al-Jubouri confirmed that the Governorate will continue to support universities, colleges and institutes and allocate the necessary funds within the regional development plan to cover the fields of expansion in the institutions of Higher Education and community service. It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by the Presidents of the University of Tikrit and Samarra, a number of General Directors in the Ministry and Deans of Technical Institutes in Balad and Dur in Middle and Northern Technical Universities.
