Department of Environment and Water, merged Ministry of Science and Technology delivered a lecture on the impact of industrial carbon dioxide emissions in climate change in Iraq.

The lecture reviewed the impact of climate change on the economy, environment and various life aspects and using methods, formulas and equations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to estimate the emission of carbon dioxide and various industrial activities in Iraq during the years 1970 -2013 as well as implementing special mathematical models to simulate the impact carbon dioxide within the climate zone in which Iraq is located.

The lecture concluded that the proportion of Iraq's impact on the process of carbon dioxide emissions in 2013 was about 0.41% for the world as this percentile indicates that Iraq is being affected and not a source.

The lecture also reviewed that the seasonal variation plays an important role in the performance of emerging infrared activities in the atmosphere.
