During a meeting with the Iranian Minister of Health Mr. Saeed Nemki, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewed enhancing cooperation in the fields of medical education. Dr. Al-Suhail also reviewed inaugurating research centers for kidney and liver transplantation and other stem cell research centers and His Excellency highlighted the importance of benefiting from the Iranian academic expertise in the medical fields to meet the needs of Iraq. His Excellency added that Iraq is keen on holding memorandums of understanding to conduct mutual scientific research to hold symposiums, training courses and workshops especially in the medical education sector. His Excellency continued by saying that the meeting included inking memorandums of understanding to develop academic cooperation between the Higher Education with the Ministry of Health which signed by the Director General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations Dr. Amjad Al-Suwad and the Iranian Minister of Health Mr. Baqer Larjani. For his part, Mr. Nemki expressed his country's readiness on developing bridges of cooperation in the field of medical education, promoting of specialized centers and exchanging academic and medical expertise.
