Iraq, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Academic Cooperation

During a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail inked memorandum of academic cooperation with the Saudi counterpart, Dr. Hamad Bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh. His Excellency said that the memorandum included encouraging exchange of educational, technical and administrative visits and experiences between academic and research institutions of the two countries, providing training opportunities for the staff especially in the medical and technical fields and exchanging faculty members and researchers. Dr. Al-Suhail added that the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation on education in the field supporting education, participating in meetings, conferences and symposiums, exchanging experts and teachers in this field, meeting school needs, exchanging scholarships, plans, curricula and educational systems of the public and private schools, providing permission for schools, evaluating and approving the graduation certificates and managing graduates with the needs of labor market. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Suhail chaired the Educational, Cultural and Scientific Committee in the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council as well as inking memoranda of cooperation in light of the framework of Prime Minister Adel Abd Al-Mahdi's visit to Saudi Arabia and meeting with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz.
