College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala discussed a master dissertation on the impact of information technology governance on the quality of profits and its reflection on investor confidence by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Zahraa Akrim Ebeid.
The dissertation aimed at identifying the dimensions and fields of information technology governance and how to benefit from them in improving and developing technology and avoiding risks for the research sample.
The dissertation reviewed a study of a sample of industrial companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange, during which a measurement of the impact of information technology governance was adopted in increasing the quality of profits and its reflection on increasing investor confidence and identifying information technology governance mechanisms, its objectives and its role in enhancing investor confidence.
The dissertation demonstrated that the use of information technology contributes to make the profits declared by the company reflect honestly and realistically the real and actual profits of the company, as well as helps to reduce the errors of the human element and to improve the financial and investment decision-making process.
