During a participation in a workshop on the legislation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, Malaysia, National Supervisory Board, merged Ministry of Science and Technology reviewed the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, addressing risks of increasing threats by non-governmental groups, chemical security threats and the international legal framework to combat chemical terrorism. The workshop highlighted the required national measures to control toxic chemicals, adopted legal tools for the mechanism of implementing criminal legislation and enhancing scientific cooperation in the field of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
