College of Electronics Engineering, University of Nineveh discussed a master dissertation on how to use deep learning algorithms to identify hidden objects by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Nermin Hussein Haji.

The dissertation demonstrated a study of using the deep neural network to identify the presence or absence, size and location of fragments in a model that contains four layers (skin - fat - muscle - bone) by directing the signal using a broadband antenna via a simulator. Electromagnetic model building and analysis of collected signals.

The dissertation concluded the presence of shrapnel and determined its size and depth in the human body. It achieved good results in identifying the shrapnel and determining the size and location, which contributes to improving medical imaging techniques and improving patient care.
