A master’s dissertation was discussed in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Thi-Qar on prediction of human emotions based on EEG brain signal differentiation. by the postgraduate student, Mr. Muntadhar Mohsen Al-Yasiri. The dissertation reviewed that EEG signals are a tool for discovering brain activities, as EEG signals allow researchers into the hidden psychological mechanisms behind perception and behavior, the importance of EEG lies in providing high-resolution data in real time capable of capturing rapid and implicit processes not detected by self-report after classifying brain signals, with emerging applications in both applied and theoretical neuroscience. The dissertation highlighted that the proposed system is a channel-based classification system and a band-based classification system, for the purpose of classifying EEG signals, and the main idea of the proposed method is to explore the effect of the accuracy of emotional behavior on the EEG signal at different frequency range (theta, alpha, beta, gamma) And a different number of channels 4,5,10,14,18,32 for the purpose of basic emotion recognition that analyzes EEG signals.
