College of Science, University of Thi-Qar discussed a master dissertation on physiological and biochemical variables in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and their relationship to diabetes by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Ghadir Osama Abd.
The dissertation reviewed a study of the role of some blood parameters such as the complete blood picture and measuring the level of red blood cell sedimentation, as well as immunological parameters such as the role of interleukin (24), interleukin (32), 1,5-hydroclucitol and also rheumatoid factor in patients with diabetes.
The dissertation demonstrated a study of the role of some chemical parameters such as random sugar and cumulative sugar, as well as the lipid profile in patients with diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis.
The 5 aimed at identifying the relation between patients with rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes by studying many criteria, including the results of the complete blood picture in patients with rheumatoid arthritis who were found to have abnormal results and conducting an examination on patients with rheumatoid arthritis for interleukin levels (24 & 32). And the detection of 1,5-hydrocluciol, which reflects the change in blood sugar.
