A joint research team in Al-Mustansiriyah, Technology and Wasit Universities conducted a study on the effectiveness of using the Amino-Triazole component as an inhibitor for the corrosion of Iraqi oil reservoirs in Daura Refinery. The study reviewed implementing of some special techniques in reducing rate of corrosion in reservoirs such as (SEM, EDX, AFM and FTIR) analyzes and calculating thermodynamic functions and the quantum values of the inhibitor material to review the mechanism of inhibition and how the material relates to the steel’s surface. The study highlighted that the Amino-Triazole component has very good inhibition ability to corrosion of iron in oil reservoirs via using part of a million of it at different temperatures as well as the component is linked physically with the surface of reservoirs.
