College of Science, University of Wasit discussed a master dissertation on the effect of melatonin on the Gene expression of o(p53.TNF), the marker of cell division and producing of micronuclei in the bone marrow by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Marwa Majid Hamid. The dissertation aimed at evaluating different doses of melatonin on the Gene expression of (p53.TNF) in the serum as serological tests, mitosis index and producing of micronuclei in bone marrow stem cells as cytogenetic tests. The dissertation reviewed using of white mice, as mice were divided into four groups, one control and three, depending on the concentration of melatonin. The dissertation demonstrated a significant increase in p53 Gene expression and a significant decrease in tnf Gene expression at a probability ratio of 0.05 for all doses that were used.
