Directorate of Training, merged Ministry of Science and Technology organized a symposium on the institutional strategic planning techniques. The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed concept of strategic planning as a process to assess the institution and determine its future paths that will meet its ambitions in management and the quality of performance. The symposium highlighted the most important techniques that can be applied by the heads of institutions in the field of strategic planning process such as matrix of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and the subject of available resources in the institution as a main determinant of all strategic planning processes.
