College of Agriculture, University of Diyala organized a symposium on assessing the economic feasibility of agricultural projects and researches. The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed agricultural development projects and mechanisms for providing a number of basic tools, as well as the economic feasibility study and evaluation of projects considered as the most important tools. The symposium highlighted the financial analysis of agricultural projects via preparing a preliminary feasibility study for the project including tables that are used to analyze the fund projections for the proposed project and to assess the economic viability of the project after funding process. The symposium recommended the importance of preparing a preliminary economic feasibility study for agricultural investment and research projects as a very important tool in determining the extent of implementation of these projects.
