College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah organized a workshop on the implementations of medical herbs in treating the microbial infections. The workshop, in which a number of faculty members, specialists and postgraduates participated, reviewed using medicinal herbs in the treatment of microbial infections, its various implementations and its effective role in addressing many health problems around the world, as well as reviewing possibility of investing this contemporary branch of pharmaceutical sciences in developing health system and addressing problem of resistance worsening chemical drugs. The workshop highlighted the role of herbal medicine in the treatment of microbial diseases,  its great potential in overcoming resistance to some common diseases of drugs and medical drugs such as tuberculosis and various viral diseases, which of Including the emerging Corona virus, HIV and other dangerous viruses.
