During a participation in the conclusion of the vocational and technical education and training strategy project in Iraq in Erbil Governorate, a delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed that the Ministers Council approved this strategy in 2015 which its activities were funded by the European Union and under the supervision of experts of UNESCO in cooperation with the Council of Advisors in the Ministers Council and a number of Iraqi experts, Ministry’s Deputy for Administrative and Strategic Affairs, Dr. Salah Abdul Qadir Al-Noaimi said. Dr. Al-Noaimi added that the participation highlighted training and technical education governance law, field survey of jobs and vocations in the labor market, the national qualifications framework via a future work program that includes 10 levels of academic certificates depending on the acquired skills during years of studying, training and work to complete the training and technical education governance law. Dr. Al-Noaimi continued by saying that the participation aimed at following up the implementation of the government program and its goals for the years 2018-2020. It is worth mentioning that the delegation of Higher Education included Ministry’s Deputy for Legal and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hamid Khalaf.
