During a participation in a workshop, Jordan, Directorate of Treatment and Management of Radioactive Waste, merged Ministry of Science and Technology reviewed strengthening legislation and implementing safety programs for workers in nuclear facilities. The workshop highlighted the internal threats arising from unauthorized acts or sabotage and impact of social media that lead to real disasters in the field of nuclear security as well as procedures to be taken against the perpetrators such as administrative regulations and prosecution besides the nature of nuclear security culture and developing and implementing the programs of human reliability. The workshop also reviewed analyzing the main elements of the human reliability program, work tasks, assessing threats such as weaknesses and consequences and evaluating this program via managing, monitoring and reporting mechanism.
